Foundation Bidding I - Opening & Responding to 1-level bids

This course is the 2nd term for Beginners. It’s also suitable for Mini-Bridge players, Whist players and novice Bridge players wanting to rebuild their knowledge of bidding

Students will be shown how to

 
Open the bidding with Balanced Hands
Respond to 1NT with Balanced Hands
Respond to suit openings with Balanced Hands
Respond to suit openings with Semi-Balanced Hands
Find a major Fit over 1NT opening
Use the Stayman convention
Respond to One-level suit openings with a Fit
Respond to One-level suit openings without a Fit
Rebid your own or partner's suit
Show second suits


At the same time students will also receive many tips on playing the cards and get to play pre-set hands

Each class lasts approximately 2 hours

€120 for 10 classes (see schedule of classes below)


Notes and hand analyses are emailed afterwards, so that you can study further at your leisure. Printed copies can be pre-ordered for an extra €10
